Clothing is gear for the body worn while cross-country skiing. We recommend dressing in layers, and wearing clothing that wicks (does not trap moisture). We carry a full line of clothing to be worn during skiing, including hats, gloves, and socks. We also carry clothing that can be worn before and after skiing.
The Ski Shop also carries a variety of accessories for the cross-country skier included ski sleeves and wraps, ski bags, sunglasses, water bottles, and books.
For the cross country skier who wants to ice skate while experiencing the thrill of cross-country skiing, we carry skate blades. Cross-country skate ski bindings are mounted to the skate blades. Find a frozen lake or try Minocqua Winter Parks new ice rink, put on your skating boots and the skate blades and skate with the wind!
Roller skiing is a great way to stay in shape when there is no snow available for cross-country skiing. Like cross-country skis, roller skis are available for skating, striding or as a combi roller ski.
Snowshoeing is a great way to enjoy winter nature. Snowshoeing can vary from a walk in the woods to an aerobic work out. In addition to snowshoes, we also carry snowshoe poles and Nordic walking poles.
Ski sailing is one of the fastest growing sports to hit the snow sport industry. The sail and harness are easy to use, and in minutes you can be flying across a frozen lake or a high mountain plateau. Most cross-country skiers can enjoy this sport with little or no sailing experience. Ski sailing allows you to participate in multiple sports at one time. Ski out to your favorite lake, undo the sail from the pack, sail for awhile, and then finish your tour by cross-country skiing. Or, go to the top of your favorite high mountain plateau, sail for awhile, and then spend the rest of the day doing turns. Ski sails comes in a high quality backpack that also serves as the harness. We carry several models of ski sails and also provide lessons. |
